I wanted to move to doing some visual things with keys, so I’m drawing vector outlines of my keys. I’ve got over a hundred in my key library I can trace right now. My initial ideas are to create a poster with each one individually laid out on a grid. It’ll be a nice graphic impact of all the visual varieties of keys. I also would love to do a textural overlay of the outlines (like above). Either filled in or with the stroke. Of course with vectors, it’ll give me the option of creating patterns at a later date. I’m trying to build a visual library of keys so I have tons of options later.
I’m about to get reaaaaal good at the pen tool.
